Fashion News: Model falls

Can a model falling on the runway make or break her career?

A model recently fell on the runway at the Toni Maticevski Resort 2017 show in Sydney on Sunday and how can you blame her in the sky high heels she was wearing and the extra shiny, slippery looking runway. Her fall was graceful and its always nice seeing the model laugh at the situation and not take it too seriously, but this got me thinking, can a fall on the runway jeopardize their modelling career?

I personally think no to this question. Not only does the fashion designer gain more media coverage and exposure on their fashion show and their new collection but the model also gets the spot light directed at her too. The model falling at the Toni Maticevski show is unknown at the moment and called "model" in all press releases so far however these photos taken from the show are now viral on the internet and social media channels which could actually boost her career.

Its not the first time a model has fallen on the runway and its happened to the most famous professional models in the fashion industry just to show that its happens to the best of them and it doesn't matter how many walk through runway practices you can have it still doesn't prevent an accidental fall. How can we forget Naomi Campbell falling at the Vivienne Westwood show in the 1990s or Agyness Deyn in the Burberry Show. Victoria Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel falling at the Givenchy show and Milana Bogolepova at Dior in 2008. These falls have not negatively effected these iconic fashion models careers in any way which confirms that a fall can only be good for one thing and that is media exposure.
