MY WISHLIST

Swimwear Brand: Calzedonia

I find that every year is the same for me when it comes to finding swimwear that I actually like and on top of that a range that flatters and suits my boyish figure. Boyish I mean toned, athletic physique, none existent breasts and a big bottom inherited from the Brazilian side of my family. Anyhow, This year was no different. I scanned all the online stores for possible swimwear purchases but nothing. I am also a bit hesitant to buy swimwear online because you really need to try it on in person to see if the fit is right because theres nothing worse than a ill-fitted bikini or swimsuit. My hesitance for shopping online for swimwear then got the better of me so I decided to window shop in person and as you know if you live in the French part of Switzerland as I do we are pretty limited to the selection of clothing stores and brands in general so I knew this would be a pretty difficult mission to achieve. I scanned every high-street store, department store, boutiques but nothing. Your probably wondering why didn't she just go to H&M? For everyone knows they have a large selection of different styled swimwear for all shapes and sizes. Don't get me wrong I have bought plenty of H&M bikinis and swimsuits in the past and yes I have liked them but the quality doesn't really do it for me, (Don't even get me started on Primark swimwear). But what do I expect for paying 7.99chf for H&M bikini bottoms, your expectations for paying that little for the best quality is not realistic? No, but I'm a bit over the bikini bottoms losing its elastane and going see through after a few washes. FYI baggy bikini bottoms are not cute!
For what seemed like days and weeks of looking for the swimwear I imagined wearing on my holiday, I was starting to lose hope and think this really is mission impossible. Then one day as I was walking to the metro station (Riponne) in Lausanne, I walked past a swimwear shop. The same one I walk past everyday but I have never gone inside( I have no idea why). Maybe the fact that my celeb girl crush, Adriana Lima in a bikini campaign caught my eye on the shop window or maybe it was the giant 50% SALE! signs, maybe a mixture of both but it worked it was the first time I was introduced to the brand Calzedonia. 1 hour later I was literally skipping out of the store with four brand new AMAZING bikinis bought in the sale and which fit my body like a dream! Not only was there a huge choice in different styled swimwear in vibrant colours, prints and sizes but the quality in materials is high and the design/cut of each product really accentuates the female silhouette.
