A/W16/17 Haute Couture Collection
Zuhair Murad A/W16 Haute Couture Collection's theme was named, "Boho Rapture". The Couture collection story is about a fairy-tale Queen that has pronouncing taste for the Bohemian Life.
The collection included high collars, flattering cuts, flares, loose fitting bell- sleeves, Queening capes, pinched in waists, regal shoulders, backless pieces, sultry playsuits, resplendent trains, low necklines,Boho hats, knee high boots with detailed embroidery,Chantilly lace, hand-painted fabrics, Ostrich feathers, sequins and beading.

"From cocktail hour and beyond, nothing too festive for this uniquely International Jet-setting, Gypsy Queen".

"When not rocking a ruffled black Chantilly lace dress, the Murad girl appeared in a flamboyant parade of velvet, crepe, tulle, and chiffon dresses in such colours as cyan, purple, plum, iris, and honeysuckle. In one of his most compelling moves, Murad took a detour through the Vienna Secession movement with a salute to Gustav Klimt in black organza with multicoloured embroidery. Another one of the prettiest gowns, in hand-painted champagne-colour silk chiffon, was among the least-embellished numbers in the collection. Murad is brimming with ideas about opulence, colour, and ornamentation".Vogue

“I wanted to make it a little bit vintage, like when you look at old photos,” the designer explained. “Boho gypsy chic is all about attitude.”Murad.
