SWIMWEAR: S/S17 TRENDS
- The Side-Knot One Piece: This swimsuit style is one of the designers favourites this season. From using D-rings, lace or bow detailing to connect the front & back. This one piece is seductive and stylish but probably not the best swimsuit to catch a tan in to avoid bad tan lines but a great piece to brunch in by the sea on holiday. The one-piece in general is a classic swimwear item which is flattering for all shapes and sizes and great for those that are a bit body conscious and prefer not to wear a Bikini.

- The Rainbow Stripe Swimsuit: This colourful vibrant swimsuit is a favourite this season with its vertical stripes in various bright colours. It is visually slimming and flattering for all body types and it has a low scoop back giving you that 80's Baywatch vibe.
- The Minimalist Bralettes: This Bikini top trend is perfect for Women with smaller busts and it seems like every year the Bikini designs are getting smaller and smaller and more revealing. In a way this is good for those that love to tan and like to avoid tan lines. The Bralette looks fabulous with Brazilian cut bottoms or high-waisted bikini briefs for those that don't want to show off too much skin!I personally love the high-waisted bikini briefs contrasting with the small bikini bralette. The high-waisted brief gives off the retro 1950's vibe. It is also a very flattering Bikini brief to wear for those that aren't ready to show off their abs this Summer.

- The Cut-out Swimsuit: This style swimsuit isn't the best for tanning but it is a huge trend this Summer and all brands have put their own design touch into this trend with different prints, fabrics and cuts. My favourite style is the High-waisted cut- out one-piece with a bow knot tie front which has a 1950s retro vibe to it and is super feminine.

- The Lace-up Front Swimsuit: This trend swimsuit is the most popular style trend for one-pieces this season and you can literally find this style swimsuit at all high street & luxury designer brand stores and outlets. The Lace-up plunging low neckline is seductive but a classic piece that reveals just the right amount of skin and is flattering for all body types.

- The Bandeau: The strapless Bikini top (also known as the bandeau) and the strapless swimsuit is my favourite swimwear item to wear when I am on holiday and for tanning in because lets face it strap tan lines are not cute! This trend is also perfect for women with smaller busts like myself.
