Spring/Summer 2019 Trends: Part 1

Spring/Summer 2019 Trends : Part 1
With Spring fast approaching, (can you believe we are in March already?), we wanted to touch base on the key S/S19 trends, just so you can prep your new season wardrobe in advance. Who else is ready to store away large knitwear and puffer jackets? I know I am! We have broken down the TOP trends this S/S19 in a two part sequel which will list the top 5 trends in each post.
So what should you expect this coming S/S19 season?
Get ready for some serious Hippy and 70's vibes with the Tie-dye trend. This trend is the one to watch this S/S19 as it was the most popular trend seen on the runway this season, seen at Prada, Dior, Prabal Gurung and MSGM. Who doesn't love a Tie-dye print on the beach?
Bike shorts are back with a vengeance! This trend was HUGE last Summer and was introduced onto the scene by street style influencers and I guess a handful of celebs. Designers obviously took note and brought it back this season with their own luxury twist. The bike short trend was seen on the runway at Chanel, Roberto Cavalli, Fendi, Prada, Mugler and Miu Miu.
Bows were a key significant statement feature on the S/S19 runway, mainly seen on formal wear dresses or neck-ties. The bigger the bow, the better with this trend, seen at Marc Jacobs, Erdem, Celine, Valentino, Miu Miu and Moschino.
Statement Headwear is another key trend to look out for this S/S19, from oversized hats to headbands and headscarfs, anything goes as long as your accessorising your head and its unmissable! I think you are either a hat person or not, I am and I'm excited to see what options we have in store for us with this trend! Seen at Rodarte, Gucci, Chanel, Armani, Max Mara and Valentino.
Get hypnotised by our next trend, Print On Print. This trend is based on clashing several prints together and making it work. Prints such as florals, polka dots, pinstripes and more. Think of it as a collage painting and dress head to toe in all prints combined, you'll be surprised it's actually a good look!
