It has literally been two years since I last created an #OOTD post, and I can honestly say that my personal style has definitely evolved since then. I feel like when you turn the ripe age of 30, it makes you realise that you are now a full-blown adult, and not only have you matured mentally, but your body and lifestyle have also dramatically changed.
I now look at Gen-Z and think, I couldn't get away with what they are wearing without looking like I'm going through a mid-life crisis. And even though I love seeing Gen-Z streetwear looks, I am now more aware that my personal style has changed and adapted to my age, lifestyle and surroundings. For example, I am aware of seasonal fashion trends but I don't necessarily follow them unless I like that particular trend. I dress for my mood whatever that may be that day and I know what looks flattering for my now curvier body type.  I choose comfort over looking trendy, glam, or attractive. I dress for myself and not to impress anyone else. It is quite empowering come to think of it, to be so secure with your own personal style and unaffected by external influences.

If you are also 30+ and can relate to this transitional phase but need some guidance to find your personal style, then look no further, I'm here to help!
The main purpose of my #OOTD posts is to inspire you and to show you that you can dress the way you like at an affordable price.

A good way to start is to go back to basics, which is the inspiration for this particular #OOTD look.

Outfit Breakdown

  • Beige Shearling Coat - Mango (Size M)
  • Beige zip hoodie - H&M (Size XL)
  • Beige fleece flared-leggings - H&M (Size M)
  • Sunglasses - Mango
  • Leopard print fur bucket hat - Urban Outfitters
  • Air Force 1 trainers White - Nike

What I really like about this outfit is the same colour coordination which has been a key, returning trend for a while now. I think it instantly makes the outfit look chic and stylish. The loose, fleece, flared trousers from H&M are super flattering with the long vertical stripe detailing and they are super comfy! It's like you're wearing PJ bottoms outside of the house.
I've matched the fleece trousers with an XL hoodie also from H&M, and an oversized shearling, teddy coat from Mango, which I bought a couple of A/W seasons ago. I prefer the look and fit of oversized hoodies, coats, and jumpers, I can't explain why, I guess it's just a personal preference and something I learnt when I started wearing my boyfriend's hoodies.
I also love that bucket hats are here to stay this season and you'll see the original bucket hat from S/S has been converted into faux fur and puffer materials to suit this A/W. The faux fur, leopard print bucket hat which I'm wearing is from Urban Outfitters, I bought it from their last sale.
